Flight 93 - Movie Trailer

This trailer is interesting. I haven’t heard that there was any actual video footage recovered so it looks like they faked some “home movies” in there which I can only assume adds a lot to the realism of the movie. I am anxious to see it, but I’m not sure if I believe it. I saw some rumblings that it might be too soon for a 9/11 movie but I have no problem with it.

Stephen Gale told our terrorism class in 2001 that a friend of his in the UK saw some footage on TV of a fighter jet that had landed near the crash site of Flight 93. It took a lot of digging, but eventually he found a photo. The theory, or conspiracy theory, is that the US government had the fighter shoot down Flight 93. As horrible as it is for the government to have to kill its own citizens for the benefit and sake of others, I don’t disagree with doing it here - as hard of a decision as it would be. The plane was headed straight towards Washington with both the White House and Capitol Hill in the flight path, if I recall correctly. The theory continues that the morale of not only the family members of those on-board Flight 93 but the country as a whole improves if the government can convince everyone that the people on-board died as heroes who brought down the plane themselves rather than let the terrorists use them as a missile. It makes so much sense I’m not sure what to believe.
